Prime Minister likely to fly to Japan 25 April

Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is going on a four-day visit to Japan on April 25. Several MoUs are expected to be signed with the country during the Prime Minister's visit to Japan.

This information was reported on the Facebook page of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday (April 11).

It was informed that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will visit Japan from April 25 to 28 at the invitation of Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida. The Emperor of Japan will welcome the Prime Minister during the visit. During her visit to the country, Sheikh Hasina will hold a summit with Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida. The Prime Minister of Japan will host a working dinner in honor of Bangabandhu's daughter.

During the visit to Japan, the Prime Minister is scheduled to attend an investment summit, several bilateral meetings and a reception for the Bangladeshi community. The Prime Minister will present the Friends of Liberation War Award to some Japanese citizens.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, several cooperation memorandums are expected to be signed with the country during the visit of the head of government to Japan. It is also expected that friendly relations between the two countries will be strengthened through this visit.

The Prime Minister was scheduled to visit Japan in late November last year. But the tour was postponed at the last minute.

It should be noted that Sheikh Hasina visited Japan for the first time as the head of government in 1997. Then he visited Tokyo in 2010, 2014, 2016 and lastly in 2019. And this visit is going to be the Prime Minister's sixth visit to the country.
