Offices to resume today after Eid vacation

After the Eid holiday, government offices, courts, banks and financial institutions opened on Monday. From today, the first working day after Eid, the office hours of Scheduled Bank are running as before.

According to Bangladesh Bank sources, the transaction in the bank started at 10 am and will continue till 3:30 pm. However, the office will be open from 10 am to 5 pm. In the rest of the time, post-transaction ancillary activities will be conducted.

Usually, bank transaction schedule is changed during the month of Ramadan for the convenience of customers. This time also during the fast, trading was done daily from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm and the office was open from 9:30 am to 4 pm.

Bangladesh Bank Executive Director and Spokesperson Mejbaul Haque said that after Eid banking transactions will be as before. From today, bank transactions will be from 10 am to 3:30 pm and the office will be open until 5 pm.

Earlier, a holiday was announced from last April 19 on the occasion of Eid. That holiday ended on Sunday. This time government employees get five consecutive days off with one extra day off.

Eid-ul-Fitr, the biggest religious festival of Muslims in the country, was celebrated last Saturday after a month of fasting. This day is celebrated with religious fervor across the country.

This time, the office was open on April 20 before the start of the Eid holiday after the Shaba al-Qadr holiday. Along with the Eid-ul-Fitr holiday, the government announced an additional one-day general holiday on April 20. Government employees got five consecutive days off due to one extra day.
