Bangladesh gave Ireland a target of 350 runs

From the start, Bangladesh indicated a big collection in the batsmen's craft. Then Liton Das and Nazmul Hossain Shanto picked up fifty in the second ODI of the series against Ireland. But the end was painted by Mushfiqur Rahim and Tawheed Hriday. But Mushfiq took all the light. In his ninth century, Bangladesh collected 349 runs for the loss of 6 wickets. This is Bangladesh's highest collection in ODI cricket.

Mushfiqur played an explosive innings with the bat in the second match after the first ODI. The deliveries of the Irish bowlers have been one after the other. Mushfiqur's 60-ball century at the end set the record for the highest run in Bangladesh ODI history.

Earlier on Monday, the Bangladesh team went to bat first at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium. However, Tamim Iqbal and Liton Das played very well from the beginning. Tamim could not celebrate his 34th birthday due to run out. The opener returned to the pavilion with a personal score of 23 runs. However, before that, Tamim reached the milestone of 15 thousand runs in his international career.

Liton and Nazmul Hossain Shanto took the lead of the team after Tamim's departure. Lytton brought up his ninth half-century in ODIs. Lytton and Shanta continued to push the team towards big collections with fluent batting. However, Liton Das has crossed the personal milestone of 2000 runs in ODIs. At the same time, Lytton was giving a glimpse of a century with a half-century. But with an easy catch from Curtis Camper, he returned with 70 runs.

Mushfiq-Hridoy made the highest innings partnership of 128 runs Lytton went back but remained calm. This left-handed batsman gave the Irish bowlers a tough test. However, Shakib Al Hasan, the highest run scorer of the last match, could not play a big innings today. Shakib was out after scoring only 17 runs despite playing in a aggressive manner from the start. But at the other end Shant picked up the third half-century of his career.  After that, the top order batsman who was playing was cut down for 73 runs. Bangladesh's collection of big runs was interrupted by his departure. There is a concern whether he will be able to set a good target like in the first match. However, Tawheed Hriday and Mushfiq handled that pressure well.

These two batsmen started not picking up quite strongly together. Both the batsmen played in T20 mood. They beat the Irish bowlers and took a breather. Mushfiq took his 44th half-century off just 33 balls.  At the other end, Tawheed playing with a fierce attitude was successful in this match as well as in the debut match. He missed out on a century by just 8 runs in that match. His regret added a little more in this match. Because Irish pacer Mark Adair stopped the heart when he was 1 run away from the half century. As a result, this young batsman left the field with 49 runs from 34 balls. And that broke Tawheed's 128-run partnership with Mushfiq. Before this, the big pair of the ongoing innings was Lytton-Shant's 101 runs.

However, Mushfiqur's bat edge has not decreased. Thirsting for a century, he partnered new batsman Yasir Ali. But the rabbi failed to give him the company he deserved. He scored 7 runs off 7 balls and returned to Graham Hume. Meanwhile, Mushfiqur took the tenth century of his career despite Rabbi's return. This experienced cricketer left the field unbeaten after scoring 100 runs in 60 balls.  Earlier, Shakib was the owner of the fastest century for Bangladesh, but Mushfiq topped that record today. Graham Hume collected the maximum 3 wickets for the Irish. Besides, Adair and Camper took one wicket each.
