Argentinian footballer accused of sexual harassment

The accusation against Gonzalo Montiel has already created quite a stir in the football world.

The first complaint was against Brazilian defender Dani Alves. He is currently in a prison in Spain pending that case. After that, the investigation process has already started in France against the Moroccan star footballer. Now a female model's lawyer has accused Argentine footballer Montiel of sexual assault on her birthday.

Lawyer Raquel Hermida made this complaint in an interview given to the local Radio Ten recently. But that incident of harassment is not recent, it happened on January 1, 2019. That day was Montiel's birthday. On that occasion he organized a special party at home. There the woman was sexually assaulted by a group of people.

Hermida, the victim's lawyer, said Montiel had a "short-term relationship" with the woman. Montiel brought the woman home to introduce her to the family and also took her to a party in La Matanza. The victim is a model by profession and does not drink alcohol. But he passed out after drinking twice at the party. The woman was then "thrown out of Mantiel's house" and "he did not know the exact number of men who sexually assaulted her".
