Gujarat won by 57 runs

If the first innings of IPL defending champions Gujarat Titans is the batsmen, the next innings is the two Afghan bowlers. Gujarat got their fifth win of the season on their spin.

With this, they are level on points with Chennai Super Kings at the top. Noor Ahmed and Rashid Khan have turned back any Mumbai batsmen who looked formidable against Gujarat. As a result, Rohit Sharma's team lost by a huge margin of 57 runs.

Noor Ahmed made his IPL debut for Gujarat. This Afghan spinner is getting wickets in accordance with the number of matches. The left-arm wrist spinner took 1, 2 and 3 wickets respectively in three matches. His compatriot leg-spinner Rashid also took two wickets in this match.

Two Afghan spinners Rashid and Noor Ahmed Hardik Pandya's Gujarat host Mumbai at home in Ahmedabad on Tuesday (April 25). The hosts were under a lot of pressure when they came to bat first. But they did not take time at all to turn around. In the last five overs, Gujarat scored 77 runs by the bowlers.

After Shubman Gill's half-century, Protea David Miller and local batsman Abhinav Manohar played a tornado innings.  After Gill's 34-ball 56, Manohar's 21-ball 42, Miller's 22-ball 46, Tewatia's 5-ball 20-run cameo saw Gujarat score 207 for 6 in 20 overs against Mumbai Indians. Although they did not start well at all. Sachin Tendulkar's son Arjun Tendulkar gave only 4 runs in the first over that day.

He took the wicket of Wriddhiman Saha when he came to bowl his second over. From there, Gujarat turned around brilliantly to handle the pressure.  Skipper Rohit Sharma got out in the second over of Mumbai who came down to bat in the run chase. Pandya, the captain of Gujarat, returned him. Rohit scored only 2 runs off 8 balls. After that, Ishan Kishan made a pair of 39 runs with Cameron Green.

Himshim Khawa Kishan (13 from 21 balls) took a catch in the air off Rashid's ball in the eighth over to run. The Afghan spinner gave another blow to Mumbai by LBWing Tilak Verma in the last ball of that over.  Rohit's Mumbai is suffering in the current season with five losses After that Noor took the responsibility on his shoulders.

He scored 23 runs off 12 balls. Green, who scored 33 runs off 26 balls with 3 sixes, missed the line and was bowled.

After Noor's double hit in the 11th over, however, Suryakumar and Nehal Wadhera scored 31 runs off 11 balls in a counter attack. But the end was not saved. Losing 5 wickets for 59 runs and 6 wickets for 90 runs, Mumbai can play the entire 20 overs and score 152 runs for 9 wickets. Wadhera, who scored 40 off 21 balls for Mumbai, hit 3 fours and sixes.
