Haaland sets Premier League season scoring record
Manchester City's Erling Haaland broke the record for most goals in a single Premier League season as he struck his side's second goal against West Ham United on Wednesday to take his tally for the campaign to 35.
Arling Holland should sit with the record book when he enters the field! He became the first player in the English Premier League to score 35 goals in one season. That left Alan Shearer and Andy Cole's record of 34 goals in a 42-match season behind them.
City's first goals have come from Holland's feet in most matches this season. However, Holland had to wait until 70 minutes to score against West Ham United last night.
When Holland got the ball in the 70th minute from Jack Grealish's through pass, only West Ham goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianiski was in front. Just as the Dutch lob was not able to be caught by the Polish goalkeeper, Holland's 35th goal in the Premier League this season is also out of reach for now. And at the end of the league, it is exciting to guess what height the goal record will be.
This is Holland's 31st match in the league. Manchester City have 5 more matches in hand. Holland is getting time to take the record higher. CTO is moving forward to win the title.
