Shakib-Litton`s letter to BCB to play in IPL
This season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is going to be played from this month. Shakib Al Hasan and Liton Das will play for Kolkata Knight Riders in this event. A few days ago, however, BCB president Nazmul Hasan Papon said that none of them have yet sought NOC to play in IPL. But now it is known that Liton and Shakib have asked for clearance from BCB.
Yesterday (March 18) the first ODI match between Ireland vs Bangladesh was held at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium. BCB Cricket Operations Chairman Jalal Yunus met the media there. At that time, regarding the participation of Shakib and Liton in IPL, he said that they have asked for NOC.
Jalal said, 'It has not been discussed yet. They wrote to us. But we haven't discussed yet.'
Shakib Al Hasan and Liton Das are in the Bangladesh Test team. The only Test match against Ireland will be played on April 4. That's why Shakib's participation in IPL has been hampered. But they want to participate in IPL without playing that test match. Meanwhile, Mustafizur Rahman is not barred from playing in the IPL as he is not in the Tigers' Test squad.
This year's IPL will be played from March 31. Kolkata Knight Riders first match on April 1. In this event Shakib and Liton have been kept in Kolkata and Mustafiz in the team of Delhi Capitals. They will not be able to participate in the early season matches due to the ongoing Ireland series.
