Neymar says goodbye to Lionel Messi at PSG
On Saturday, the Parc des Princes hosted Lionel Messi’s last match in a PSG shirt, but the World Cup winner wasn’t playing alongside his friend, Neymar. The Brazilian’s latest injury has him sidelined, however, the pair were together on the pitch as the PSG team thanked their supporters, but promptly escaped the lap of honour.
Hours later, Neymar said goodbye to Messi. The Brazilian dedicated an emotional message to the Argentine forward on his social channels. The two players met at Barcelona, where they forged a friendship, although in Paris they would not go on to enjoy the same success.
“Brother.. it didn’t go as we thought it would, but we tried everything. It was a pleasure to share two more years with you. Best of luck in your new chapter and may you be happy. I love you,” Neymar wrote as a farewell to Messi.
