T-20: Bangladesh and Afghanistan facing again today
Bangladesh got the desired victory in the first T20 against Afghanistan in Sylhet. Defeated the Afghans by 2 wickets in the first of the two-match T20 series. Today Sunday (July 16) the two teams will meet again in the second T20. Bangladesh team hopes to win the series and Afghanistan will want to end the series with a draw.
On Friday (July 14) at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, the Afghans lost the toss and went into bat to score 154 runs for 7 wickets. Bangladesh had to play till the fifth ball of the last over to win. The wound of the ODI series loss with the Afghans is still not dry. In this, such a victory will surely blow the air of happiness in the host camp. Bangladesh wants to dry that wound by winning the T20 series. And Afghanistan wants to end the series by winning the last match.
It is highly likely that there will be no change in the Bangladesh team in the second T20 on Sunday. Bangladesh can enter the field in the second T20 only with a winning combination. And several changes to Afghanistan's playing XI. This is known from various sources.
Team Tigers captain Shakib Al Hasan said at the press conference before the start of the match that he wants to win both the matches.
Shakib says that anything can happen in T20, 'Every series is a challenge. Especially in the T20 format, the challenge is more. Because all groups have equal opportunities. I don't think there is such thing as small team or big team in T20. Any team has the ability to beat any team. That challenge is what we enjoy. We beat England 3-0 despite losing one match against Ireland.
