Asia Cup : Pakistan win by 7 wickets
Pakistan defected Bangladesh by 7 wickets in the Asia Cup Super Four game at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Wednesday. Bangladesh scored 193 runs with loss of all wickets in 38.4 overs. But Pakistan reached the target with 63 balls remaining.
Pakistan batter Imam-Ul-Haq and Mohammad Rizwan smashed fifties as Pakistan cruised to the comfortable win over Bangladesh. Opener Imam smashed five fours and four sixes for his 84-ball 78, while Rizwan saw his team through with an unbeaten 79-ball 63 laced with seven fours and a solitary six.
Bangladesh Taskin Ahmed, Shoriful Islam, and Mehedi Hasan Miraz picked up one wicket each. Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan won the toss and elected to bat first.
Speedster Haris Rauf wrecked havoc with pace, claiming 4-19 and was backed up well by fast bowlers Nasim Shah (3-34) and Shaheen Shah Afridi.
Mushfiqur Rahim made team-best 64 and captain Shakib Al Hasan hit 53. They shared 100-run for the fourth wicket to help Bangladesh save from further blushes.
