Mushfiq to fly back home after Sri Lanka match
Bangladesh wicket-keeper batsman Mushfiqur Rahim will return to Bangladesh after the match against Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup due to family reasons, a BCB official said on Friday.
The Tigers will play against Sri Lanka in their second game of the Super Four in the tournament on Saturday at R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo.
The BCB source said Mushfiq is thinking about returning home as his wife is childbearing. He wants to be with his wife during the birth of his second child. For instance, He needs to return to Dhaka before September 12. The team management has taken the matter seriously.
However, Mushfiq will join the team before the match against India in their last match of the Super Four stage on September 15 at the same venue.
In the first match, in which Bangladesh lost against Pakistan by seven wickets, Mushfiqur Rahim hit the highest individual score of 64 runs after making a 100-run partnership with skipper Shakib Al Hasan.
