Bangladesh-Argentina in the same group

In the Bangabandhu Cup Kabaddi tournament, hosts Bangladesh and Argentina have been drawn in the same group. 12 teams from two groups will participate in this tournament. Bangladesh and Argentina are in 'A' group. The remaining four teams in that group are - Iraq, Nepal, England and Poland.

Today (March 12) the grouping of the tournament was decided at the office of Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation. Later 6 teams were divided into 'A' and 'B' groups. Each team will get a chance to play five matches. The top two teams from the two groups will play in the semi-finals.

Bangladesh became the champion in the last two editions of Bangabandhu Cup Kabaddi. Habibur Rahman, general secretary of Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation, expressed his hope of winning the championship for the third consecutive season, "Our preparation is good enough." Like the last season, our goal in this season is to win the title.

There were relatively weak teams in the last two seasons. Habibur Rahman said that although there was an attempt to bring the best team in the Kabaddi world in the third season, it was not successful, "I tried to bring teams like Iran, India, Pakistan and Korea; But it was not possible due to busy international schedule. Before the Asian Games, our team will be sent out to practice.

The Bangabandhu Cup Kabaddi Tournament will be held at the Volleyball Stadium adjacent to the Kabaddi Stadium. About the venue crisis, the general secretary of the federation said, "Though Kabaddi is our national sport, the country does not have an international standard venue. As a result, we have to go to the neighboring volleyball stadium.

Group A: Argentina, Bangladesh, Iraq, Nepal, England and Poland.

Group B: Kenya, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Chinese Taipei and Thailand.
