After the World Cup failure, Brazil also lost to Morocco

The biggest surprise at the World Cup in Qatar was Morocco. For the first time as an African nation, they reached the knockout stage. Not only that, they beat countries like Belgium, Spain and Portugal on their way to the semi-finals. Through which they indicate the formation of the new giant team of the football world. On the other hand, five-time world champions Brazil are yet to overcome their disappointing World Cup exit. They also stumbled against Morocco in their first appearance since the World Cup.

On Sunday (March 26) at 4 o'clock in the morning, the two teams met in an international friendly match in Tangier. On the occasion of this match, Ramon Menezes, the domestic coach of Brazil, announced the young team. After that, he faced criticism for forming the team by excluding many of the World Cup team. The team's coach Tite resigned after returning home from Qatar after failing in two consecutive World Cups.

On the other hand, Neymar has already been ruled out for the entire season. The team's regular captain De Silva is absent due to injury. Not included in the new squad are recently in-form Barcelona forward Rafinha, Arsenal's Gabriel Martinelli and midfielder Bruno Guimaraes. Still, the world champions wanted a fresh start in the match with hopes of a good result.

On this day acting coach Menezes gave international debut to five promising youngsters. The match against Morocco was also special for another reason. After the death of the legendary Pele, this is the first time he has played in Brazil. At the beginning of the match, Pele was remembered and every player's jersey had the name of the king of football on the back. These occasions could not stimulate Brazil!

From the start of the match, Morocco had more pace. They were quick to take the ball away from the Brazilians and attack again and again. In the middle of the match, the players of both teams have caused trouble several times. However, Brazil created the first good chance of the match. In the 13th minute, Ronnie could not keep a close shot after receiving Lucas Paqueta's through ball.

Ten minutes later, Morocco's goalkeeper Yassin Bounu missed a goal for Brazil. Andre Santos' shot deflected off Bunu's hands and headed towards the back of the net. He went back and controlled the ball at the last moment. Two minutes later, however, Vinicius Jr. sent the ball into the net. However, the goal was disallowed due to offside while creating the attack.

In the 29th minute, Morocco went ahead with a counterattack. Bufal took the ball from Bilal El Khannus and dodged two defenders and put the ball in the net. Rodrigo had a chance to equalize in the 36th minute. The forward, wearing the number ten jersey in Neymar's absence, failed to put his shot on target.

Even in the second half, Brazil could not see the goal. Reaching the 67th minute of the match, their wait is over. However, the Moroccan goalkeeper also had a role to play. Due to his error, the ball took a few steps outside the box and went to captain Casemiro. His shot was within reach of Bunu. Jumped to reach the ball but could not control it. Menezes' team could not hold on to parity for long. The Moroccan attack escalated. As a result, in the 79th minute, Sabiri received the ball from Walid Cheddira and sent the ball into the net in a half-volley. Goalkeeper Weverton had nothing to do but watch. Alisson Becker, Brazil's main goalkeeper for a long time, was not getting the next goalkeepers. At times Man City keeper Ederson got on the field but that too was impossible for Weverton.

Seleção had to leave the field in the end with a lot of disappointment. The apparent chapter of captain Casemiro and caretaker coach Menezes also began in disarray.
