Mahmudullah is not in the team for the ODI series against Ireland

Nothing seems to be going in Mahmudullah Riyad's favor lately. There are questions about performance, doubts about fitness. There is also the fact that it has been 37 years.

In this situation, Mahmudullah Riyad did not have a place in the Bangladesh team for the ODI series against Ireland in Sylhet. The question is whether he has completely 'left out'.

However, Chief Selector Minhajul Abedin Nannu says, "Rest" has been given to this experienced batsman.

Mahmudullah has already retired from the Riyadh Test. After the last World Cup, there is no place in the T20 team.

Couldn't do well in the recently concluded ODI series against England. The runs were 31, 32 and 8 in the three matches. Also the lack of quickness in fielding was visible.

Even before the series against England, Mahmudullah Riyad's inclusion in the team was questioned. But captain Tamim Iqbal was by his side.

This time, Mahmudullah Riyad did not have a place in the announced squad for the first two matches of the three-match series against Ireland. Is this spinning all-rounder completely 'dropped'?

Chief selector Minhajul Abedin Nannu said, 'We have rested Riyadh. We see the series against Ireland as an opportunity to experiment. That's why I took Zakir. We have seen Yasir before, we want to see him again in this series.

The Chief Selector says, Mahmudullah still has a chance to return.

"Again, he has been rested in this series to see others."

The first two matches of Bangladesh's ODI series against Ireland will be on March 18 and 20. The last match will be on March 23.
