Tucker and McBrine continue Irish resistance
Despite the fall of Harry Tector, Ireland have continued to demonstrate resilience in their second innings against Bangladesh on the third day of the one-off Test in Mirpur today.
Ireland are 199 for six at Tea, leading by 44 runs, after the visitors picked up 106 runs in 27 overs for the loss of one wicket in the post-Lunch session.
The Irish would be delighted after two back-to-back sessions in their favour today, especially after how Lorcan Tucker, who is on the verge of a century on Test debut, has combined with Andy Mcbrine after Taijul Islam removed set batter Tector (56) after Lunch.
Tucker is undefeated on 89 off 132 balls, striking 11 boundaries and a six, while McBrine is proving to be good company with his unbeaten 27 off 47.
Ireland began the day at 27 for four after Bangladesh amassed 369 in reply of Ireland's first-innings total of 214.
