Fenchuganj UP elections result announcement

Elections were held in 5 unions of Fenchuganj upazila of Sylhet on Thursday (March 16). Polling was completed from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm without any major untoward incident.

According to the results obtained privately at around 7:30 pm after the counting, Taifur Rahman Shahin of the upazila's No. 1 Sadar Union won with the boat symbol.

Zubed Ahmed Chowdhury Shipu has won the boat symbol in No. 2 Maizgaon Union. Saiful Islam Mana won in Ghilachhra Union No. 3 with the boat symbol.

However, the boat was defeated in the remaining two unions. Among these two, BNP leader Ahmed Zilu has been elected chairman for the second time in North Kushiara Union No. 4. He fought with the pineapple symbol.

On the other hand, Abzal Hossain, an independent candidate, has been elected to the post of chairman in the Upazila No. 5 North Fenchuganj Union Parishad election. He competes with the horse symbol.
