Rail link with Sylhet disrupted again!

Rail communication with Sylhet has been stopped temporarily for the second phase of rescue work in the train accident between Kamalganj-Srimangal in Moulvibazar. The work of rescuing the coaches due to the accident has started in the second phase from this morning.
Earlier on Saturday (May 20) early in the morning in Kamalganj of Moulvibazar in Lauachhara National Park area. Train coaches with engines derailed by falling trees.
Railway authorities normalized train communication with the whole country around 8:30 pm on Saturday leaving three derailed coaches beside the railway line. Later, two relief trains from Kulaura and Akhaura stations went to rescue the coaches from 5 am on Sunday.
Kabir Ahmed, Station Master of Bhanugach Railway, said, "Train communication with the whole country has been stopped for some time. Three coaches will be taken to Srimangal station.'
He also said, "The Internagar Dhaka-bound Kalni train from Sylhet left at 6:15 am and stopped at Shamshernagar station at 7:50 am." The train will leave after the work is done.
Sylhet-bound Internagar Udayan Express from Chittagong collided with an uprooted tree in the Amtali area of Lauachhara National Park on Saturday around 4:30 am. Three coaches of the train including the engine were derailed.
