Anwaruzzaman Chowdhury to submit nomination paper today
Awami League nominated mayor candidate Anwaruzzaman Chowdhury will submit his nomination papers in Sylhet City Corporation Elections on Tuesday. He asked for the prayers of the people of the city.
Today Tuesday at 12 noon he will go to the office of the Mendibagstha District Election Officer in the city and submit his nomination papers to the Returning Officer. The last date for submission of nomination papers is Tuesday. The selection will be on May 25. And the deadline for withdrawal of nomination papers is June 1.
Sylhet City Corporation was established in 2002. There are 42 wards of this metropolis with an area of 79.50 square kilometers. Total voters are 4 lakh 86 thousand 605 people. Among them 2 lakh 53 thousand 763 men and 2 lakh 32 thousand 842 women.
Total centers 190 and polling booths 1 thousand 364. Sylhet City Corporation elections will be held for the fifth time on June 21.
