Gathering of people different religions on the banks of Jadukata

Two religious festivals of two spiritual saints have started on Sunday (March 19) on the banks of Yadukata river in Sunamganj. It will continue until Tuesday, March 21. One of the festivals is the Ors Mubarak of Hazrat Shah Arofin (RA) of the Muslims; The other is the Panatirtha or Ganga bath of the Hindus.

Panathirtha or Ganga Bathing will start from 9 pm on Sunday and Ors Mubarak of Arefin (RA) from Sunday afternoon through Milad Mahfil.

Two festivals of harmony have been coming for more than six hundred years and are being held in Rajargaon and Laudergarh villages on the two banks of Jadukata River bordering Badaghat Union of Tahirpur Upazila of Sunamganj.

Ahead of this festival, both banks of Jadukata river are filled with gatherings of devotees. A festive atmosphere prevails in Rajargaon and Laudergarh villages and surrounding areas. However, the arrivals have been disturbed by the rain and cold wind since morning.

People of both religions have taken various programs around this festival, including the Astana of Hazrat Shah Arefin (RA).

For added security, the entire area is being monitored with CCTV cameras. Hundreds of local volunteers along with sufficient police, BGB, Ansar, management committee people will act as security assistants.

On the other hand, from the first day to the last day of Hazrat Shah Arefin (R.A.) Urs, the city will be reveling in Qur'an recitation, Zikir, Bhandari, Palligeet, Lalangeet, Morshedi, Baulsongeet, folk music of the mystic poet of the district, Sadhak Hashan Raja and Baul Emperor Shah Abdul Karim.

Apart from this, the International Krishna Consciousness Sangh (ISCON) organized week-long and individual Mangal Aarti, Bhajan, Leela Kirtan, Vedic drama, Ganga Puja, cultural programs and religious discussions with the participation of radio, TV and stage artists of the country.

Shah Arefin (Rtd) Mokam Management Committee General Secretary and Upazila Press Club General Secretary Alam Sabbir said that through these two festivals, the country of two spiritual great saints of both religions, including foreign countries and Sylhet Division Sylhet, Habiganj, Moulvibazar and Sunamganj, have become a meeting place with the arrival of millions of devotees. has been A great Varuni fair is held in Rajargaon and Laudergarh on both banks of Jadukata river. Shah Arefin (RA) Moqam Management Committee Vice President and Badaghat Union Parishad Chairman Nizam Uddin said, Shah Arefin (RA) was one of the 360 Auliya of Hazrat Shahjalal. Everyone knows he is a lifer. Muslims flock to Shah Arefin's (R.A.) Urs in hopes of fulfillment of their desires and success. He used to worship Allah sitting in a big rock cave in the Meghalaya mountains of India. That was his only Astana (then part of Bangladesh) There is no Astana in Bangladesh. But the Indian BSF does not allow the devotees to go to that hideout in India. Therefore, devotees of Ashekans built Shah Arefin's Astana in Laudergarh area of Bangladesh-India border near Zero Point and observed Ors there. Like every year, all the preparations for Shah Arefin's Astana have been completed. Talked to the law enforcement forces, they will take legal action if there is any irregularity.

Advaita Prabhu Janmdham Managing Committee President and Upazila Parishad Chairman Karuna Sindhu Chowdhury Babul said that if you don't come here, life will not be fulfilled. Every year in the month of Chaitra, Hindu devotees from all over the country flock to the magical river to bathe in the Ganges on this tithi. Hindus come here with their mothers, fathers, wives and children to bathe in the magical river Ganges to get rid of all their sins for the whole year. In 1516 AD Panathirtha was started by Mahapurush Shriman Advaita Archaya Prabhu. Advaita Archaya Temple and Akhara have been built in Rajargaon village adjacent to the river bank.

He also said that we will provide all-out cooperation to ensure the arrival and safe return of millions of pilgrims and pilgrims from home and abroad in this festival, besides the administration is also with us. Officer-in-charge (OC) of Tahirpur police station Syed Iftekhar Hossain said, Shah Arefin (r.) is on alert to maintain all kinds of irregularities and law and order in Mokam and Panatirth areas and on the way to and fro. Strict measures have been taken this year compared to other years.

Tahirpur Upazila Nirbahi Officer Suprabhat Chakma said that all measures have been taken for the safety of the people coming to the two fairs of the two religions, and strict action will be taken against any irregularity.
