Sylhet jolted by 4.6 magnitude earthquake

Earthquake was felt in different parts of the country including Sylhet. The earthquake was felt at 10:46 am on Friday (June 16).

According to Google data, the source of the tremor, which was felt at 10:46 am, was at Silchar, 13 km away from Sylhet. Bangladesh and some parts of India were shaken by it.

Although Google said the magnitude of the earthquake was 4.6, the US Geological Survey did not provide any information about it. No damage has been reported as a result of the quake.

On the other hand, according to the data of the European Mediterranean Seismological Center, the magnitude of the earthquake, which occurred 32 km from Sylhet, was 4.8. The depth of which was 9 km.

Earlier, on May 5, an earthquake was felt in Dhaka at 5:57:88. The source of the tremor was in Doha, about 42 km from the capital.
