Son killed by father`s wood hitting in Companiganj

A young man named Dulal Mia (35) was accused of killing a young man by hitting him with a stick due to a family dispute in Sylhet's Companiganj. Accused Nimbar Ali (70) has been arrested by the police. He confessed to the police about killing his son.

Police and locals said that Dulal was mischievous. He often abused the family members in unspeakable language, physically and mentally tortured and destroyed the household items. A month ago, his wife left her father's house unable to bear the torture of her husband.

On the evening of the incident, he was beating his younger brother Alal in front of the house. Father Nimbar Ali rushed to the spot after receiving the news. The boy kept hitting Dulal with a wooden stick in his hand. At one point, Dulal fainted and fell to the ground. Later, when he was rescued and taken to the hospital, the doctor declared him dead.

Companiganj police station OC Hillol Roy said that Dulal was killed due to a family dispute. The body has been kept at Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital morgue for post-mortem. Alal, the father and brother of the deceased accused in the incident, have been arrested.
