Bank employee dies in Kulaura

A bank officer named Hridoy Chhatri was killed in a road accident in Kulaura, Moulvibazar. The accident took place on Saturday (April 1) around 8 am in the Holichara area of the Kulaura-Moulvibazar regional highway. The deceased Hriday Chhatri is the son of Kangkan Chhatri of Madhavpur upazila of Habiganj district.

Locals said that at around 8 o'clock in the morning on Saturday, the bloody body of a motorcycle rider was found lying on the road of Brahmanbazar Union of Brahmanbazar Union on the road of Kulaura-Moulvibazar regional highway. A team led by Solaiman Ahmed reached the spot and recovered the body and handed it over to the police station.

Warehouse Inspector Md. Solaiman Ahmad said, it is not known how the incident happened. However, initially the information of the deceased was found. The deceased Hridoy Chhatri was working in Sylhet's Mutual Trust Bank. He went to Kamalganj upazila of Moulvibazar for office work. He died in a road accident on his way back from there.

Kulaura police station SI Parimal Chandra Das confirmed the matter and said that the relatives of the deceased have been informed. The process of sending the body to Moulvibazar Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy is underway.
