When the vote in Sylhet City, will be known today

The Election Commission will hold a meeting on Monday (April 3) to decide the date of elections in five city corporations including Sylhet.

Sylhet, Gazipur, Rajshahi, Barisal and Khulna City Corporation elections have to be held before the parliamentary elections as the term will expire. The policy decision to organize the election of these five city corporations between the end of May and June was made in the commission meeting held on March 15.

And now it's time to decide when the city corporation will be elected. Chief Election Commissioner Kazi Habibul Awal will hold a meeting in this regard on Monday morning. It will have four election commissioners, EC secretary and related officials.

EC Additional Secretary Ashok Kumar Debnath told the media on Sunday (April 2) that a decision may be taken regarding the schedule of city corporation polls in the meeting.
