Muktadir arrested in the afternoon, released in the evening!

BNP Chairperson's advisor Khandaker Abdul Muktadir was arrested after coming to Sylhet to participate in the party program. Kotwali police arrested him from Osmani International Airport area at 3 pm on Saturday. He was later released from the police station in the evening after submitting his bail to the court.

Kotwali Police Station OC Mohammad Ali Mahmud said that Khandkar Muktadir had an arrest warrant for a case in 2018. He was arrested in that case. He was later released after submitting bail papers.

It is known that Khandaker Muktadir came to Sylhet around 3 pm on Saturday to participate in the sit-in program announced by BNP on 10-point demand. Osmani was arrested by the police after leaving the airport.

Sylhet Metropolitan BNP General Secretary Imdad Hossain Chowdhury said that Khandaker Muktadir was arrested in the case of 2018. But Muktadir was on bail from the court in that case. But for some reason, the police arrested him as the 're-call' did not come from the court. He was released later in the evening.  BNP's position program by changing the location.

Sylhet metropolis BNP has carried out the position program announced by the center on the 10-point demand. However, they could not hold the program at the pre-arranged place. The venue had to be changed in the face of police obstruction.

BNP leaders said sit-in programs were announced at Pathantula, Sobhanighat, Agra Center and ABC Point in the suburbs of Sylhet. But when they went to hold the program at 2 o'clock on Saturday yesterday, the police stopped them at Pathantula and Upshahar ABC Point. In the face of obstacles, BNP leaders staged a sit-in program at a community center in Pathantula and a school ground in the suburbs.

Among others who were present in the location program were - Metropolitan BNP President Nasim Hossain, General Secretary Imdad Hossain Chowdhury and Organizing Secretary Syed Safeq Mahbub etc.
