Sylhet records hottest day
Heat waves are blowing across the country. The country is burning with temperatures close to 40 degrees. People's life is getting fed up with it. But Sylhet has less heat wave than other districts. The temperature in Sylhet was lower than the temperature of the whole country on Wednesday. The countrymen are waiting for when the rain will come down and some relief will be given. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has predicted rain. Rain will come early next week. And the previous few days will suffer from fever.
In the latest message on Thursday (April 13) morning, the Meteorological Office said that it may rain in Sylhet by next Sunday. However, the pain of heat will continue for the first few days.
According to the forecast, mild to moderate heat waves are flowing over a total of 57 districts, including four districts of Sylhet division and four districts of Mymensingh division and may continue. Mild to moderate heat waves are flowing over 13 districts of Dhaka Division, eight of Rajshahi Division, 10 of Khulna Division, six of Barisal Division, 11 of Chittagong Division and it may continue.
According to the Department of Meteorology, the highest temperature in the country was recorded at Chuadanga on Wednesday at 39.7 degrees Celsius. Besides, 39.3 in Faridpur, 39.5 in Mongla, 39.4 in Jessore, 39.3 in Ishwardi, 39.0 in Faridpur and Khulna, 39.1 in Rajshahi, 38.9 in Dhaka, 38.6 in Kumarkhali, 38.4 in Bandarban, 38.4 in Satkhira. 3, Tangail, Feni and Rangamati recorded 38.0 degrees Celsius and Sylhet recorded 35.5 degrees Celsius.
The forecast also said that the weather will remain dry over the country with temporary partly cloudy skies. Along with this, the day temperature may increase slightly and the night temperature may remain almost unchanged across the country. Apart from this, the weather may change slightly in the next three days.
Srinivas Debnath, meteorological assistant of Sylhet Meteorological Office, said that the weather report shows that the temperature tends to increase in April. At this time, there is no southerly wind, the humidity in the air is low, which means there is not much water vapor. Due to which the temperature is gradually increasing and the heat is becoming quite unbearable.
He said, after the heatwave subsides, the rainfall trend will gradually increase towards the end. Rain is expected from April 20.
