It suddenly became known that not 10 people are fighting for the nomination of Awami League for the post of mayor in the next Sylhet City Corporation election, but a total of 11 people. So far, the names of 10 people have been in the media, but the name of one person remained hidden. He is - Councilor Saleh Ahmad Salim, Organizational Secretary of Sylhet Metropolitan Awami League.

On the occasion of the Sylhet City Corporation election last Sunday (April 9) Awami League President Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's political office in Dhanmondi started selling party nomination papers, party secretary Sayem Khan. On the first day, 5 Awami League leaders of Sylhet collected nomination papers. However, Councilor Saleh Ahmad Salim somehow 'quietly' collected and submitted the nominations. "Silence" why? In response to such a question, he said on Friday (April 14) - "If the public leader and party president Sheikh Hasina thinks that I am worthy to serve the people of Sylhet, then she will nominate me." So I did not think it right to collect or submit nomination papers here in Sambar.

On April 11, he said that he collected and submitted the nomination papers through Lok.

Meanwhile, Metropolitan Awami League leader Prince Sadruzzaman Chowdhury is not named in the list of those waiting for a boat in Sylhet, according to the Election Commission. Apart from him, the list with the names of 10 others has been published. However, he himself confirmed that he had bought the nomination on April 10.

In this regard, Prince Sadruzzaman Chowdhury said on Friday afternoon - 'There was a problem with one of the names of my voter ID. So first my nomination paper was confiscated. But later it was accepted as I submitted the amendment application and related documents. But before my nomination was accepted for the second time, 10 people were shortlisted. That's why my name is not in the list.

He said that his nomination letter has been sent to the High Command and assured Sadruzzaman in charge of the party.
