50% Boro paddy of haor areas harvested in Sylhet
A stormy day is coming. Farmers will finish harvesting Haor paddy before the heat of Baisakhi tomorrow. For this reason, the administration is very active. Somewhere, the agriculture department is miking on this.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, 55% of boro rice has been harvested in Sylhet, 70% in Moulvibazar, 67% in Habiganj, 73% in Sunamganj, 58% in Kishoreganj, 77% in Netrokona and 67% in Brahmanbaria. So far 70% of boro paddy has been harvested in Howar.
The Ministry of Agriculture announced this information in a press release on Monday (April 24).
Mentioning the rice production target of 40 lakh tons, the ministry said, 4 lakh 52 thousand hectares of land have been planted in 7 districts of Haor this year. And Haor and the high land outside Haor, the total boro cultivation has been done in 9 lakh 53 thousand hectares of land.
The notification also said that only in Sunamganj, 1000 combine harvesters are harvesting paddy. This time there will be no problem in harvesting paddy.
