Poor Gobind Mallick`s house was burnt to ashes
Father, everything has been burnt to ashes except my lungi and my wife's old sari". This is how poor Har Gobind Mallick was lamenting in a tearful voice telling the media workers about the burnt houses and shops. In the municipal area of Kamalganj upazila of Moulvibazar, houses and shops were burnt to ashes. Today Thursday (March 16) at 4 o'clock in the morning, the fire incident took place in the house of local Har Gobind Mallik.
They came 1 hour after informing the fire service. By that time, the entire residence and shop were burnt to ashes.
Meanwhile, after going to the spot after the fire, it is seen that the locals are helping the victim Gobind Mallik with rice, pulses and money. Locals are posting on social media asking for help.
Har Gobind Mallik suddenly saw the fire in the house at 4:30 am on Thursday and jumped out of the house with his wife while she was sleeping. When he screamed, the neighbors came and tried to put out the fire. Later, when the fire spread to the house, everything inside was burnt to ashes.
The owner of the house Har Gobind Mallik said, I and my wife live in this house. We had three daughters and gave them in marriage. No son. My wife and I live in this house alone. Tea shop attached to our room. Both of them live with the income from the shop selling tea. Everything in our house was burnt. Nothing left. I don't understand what to do. I am spending my days worrying about where to stay, what to eat, how to run the family.
Station Leader of Kamalganj Fire Service Ajit Kumar Singh said, we came out after getting the news of the fire. But those who told us by phone could not get the correct information. Due to which it takes us some time to reach. Still we tried to bring the homestead fire under control.
However, the exact cause of the fire and the amount of damage is not known, said the fire service.
