The Spring Festival was celebrated in Sreemangal under the joint initiative of the Sreemangal Upazila Parishad and Municipality in Moulvibazar. The festival grounds were vibrant with the presence of young men and women.

On Thursday (February 13) afternoon, the event was inaugurated at the Sreemangal District Council Auditorium Ground by Upazila Executive Officer Md. Islam Uddin. Among those present were Upazila Parishad’s Chief Engineer Md.Yousuf Hossain Khan and Municipality’s Executive Engineer Md. Zahirul Islam, among others. The entire event was hosted by reciter and cultural organizer Debashish Chowdhury Raja.

Additionally, a cultural program was organized from 4 PM, beginning with Kathi Dance and Jhumur Dance performed by tea garden workers. Later, various cultural organizations participated with dance and musical performances. After the inauguration in the afternoon, the guests visited different stalls at the festival.

Progga Parmita Chowdhury, a visitor at the fair, expressed her joy: "I came to the Spring Festival and really enjoyed it. I got to see many varieties of flowers. Many people, including my teachers, old friends, and family members, attended the festival. I even got to meet some people I don’t often see, which made me really happy."

UNO Md. Islam Uddin told the Daily Observer, "Various programs have been organized across the country on the occasion of the Youth Festival. In continuation of this, the Upazila Administration of Sreemangal and Sreemangal Municipality have also undertaken multiple programs and initiatives. Keeping in line with this, since today is the Youth Festival and young people are always enthusiastic and energetic, we have organized this Spring Festival to further inspire and invigorate them."
