National Legal Aid Day celebration at Moulvibazar
National Legal Aid Day 2023 was celebrated in Moulvibazar with the motto 'Opening the door to free legal services'.
On this occasion, a colorful rally came out from the court premises on Friday (April 28) morning. Later discussion session was held at Shilpakala Academy Auditorium. It was presided over by District and Sessions Judge Al-Mahmud Faizul Kabir.
Deputy Commissioner Urmi Binte Salam, Superintendent of Police Mohammad Zakaria, Municipal Mayor Fazlur Rahman, Sadar Upazila Chairman Kamal Hossain, Srimangal Upazila Chairman Bhanu Lal Roy along with learned judges and lawyers of District Magistrate and Chief Judicial Magistrate courts were present.
District Bar President Advocate Ramakant Dasgupta, General Secretary Advocate Badrul Hossain, Public Prosecutor (PP) Advocate Radhapad Deb Sajal, GP Advocate Abdul Khaliq, Special PP Nikhil Ranjan Das and others were present on the stage among the lawyers.
Speakers emphasized on providing legal aid information to more people at government expense and providing services to helpless service seekers.
