Construction of rural road on the pattern of Sreemangal highway

**In order to implement this initiative of 'Gram Hobe City'gram, a highway-style road has been constructed through Sreemangal village of Moulvibazar.**

For the implementation of LGED, 6 crore 45 lakh rupees have been spent on the construction of the 6 thousand 790 meter long road from Satgaon-Sindurkhan via Kalibari.

As a result of the construction of this wide Pichdhala road through the village, an improved road communication system with the Dhaka-Sylhet highway has been launched. Locals are hoping that the road will play a great role in the development of tourism in this area of Sreemangal in Moulvibazar district.

On Thursday afternoon, the road was inaugurated as the chief guest by the chairman of the parliamentary standing committee on estimated accounts, the former chief whip vice-principal. Mohammad Abdus Shaheed MP.

Upazila Executive Officer Ali Rajib Mahmud Mithun presided over the event and Upazila Chairman Bhanural Roy was present as a special guest.

Upazila Vice Chairman Haji Mohammad Liton Ahmed, Female Vice Chairman Mitali Dutta, Upazila Engineer Yusuf Hossain Khan, Officer In-Charge of Sreemangal Police Station were present in the program under the chairmanship of Ashidron Union Ranendra Prasad Barjan Jahar. Jahangir Hossain Sardar, Upazila Awami League President Ardhendu Kumar Deb, Acting General Secretary Jagatjyeti Dhar Shubhra, Organizing Secretary Belayet Hossain, Chalik Ahmed, Sindurkhan Union Chairman Yachin Arafat Robin.

Apart from this, Sreemangal Upazila Fishermen's League President Ashikur Rahman Ashiq, Ashidron Union Awami League President Asid Ali, Bhunbir Union Awami League General Secretary Subrata Kumar Deb, Bhunbir Union Awami League President Abul Kashem Bhuia along with leaders of Awami League, Jubo League, Chhatra League, Krishak League and local dignitaries were also present.
