Sylhet city election : 14 women candidates win reserved seats

Polling for Sylhet City Corporation elections was conducted peacefully. Voting started from 8 am on Wednesday (June 21) and continued till 4 pm. A total of 87 women candidates contested in 14 reserved seats. Citizens of the metropolis elected 14 reserved councilors by voting in Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs).

The reserved councilors elected in 14 wards in Sylhet City Corporation elections are-

The current councilor Salma Sultana was elected in the 1st ward. Who chose the symbol of glasses.

Current councilor Kulsuma Begum Popi was elected in the 2nd ward. Who chose the helicopter symbol.

The current councilor Rebecca Begum Renu was elected in Ward No. 3. Who chose the pineapple symbol.

Ward No. 4 was elected Mocha: Ruhena Khanam Mukta. Who chose the Tiffin Dolphin symbol.

The current councilor Shahana Begum Shanu was elected in Ward No. 5. Who chose the dolphin symbol.

The current councilor Shahanara Begum has been elected in Ward No. 6. The one who chose the book symbol.

Nargis Sultana has been elected in the 7th ward. Who chose the symbol of glasses.

Sharmin Akhtar Rumi was elected in the 8th ward. Who chose the pineapple symbol.

Chhmiran Necha was elected in the 9th ward. Who chose the glass symbol.

Ayesha Khatun Koli was elected in Ward No 10. The one who chose the book symbol.

Counting is still going on in Ward No 11.

Fatema Begum was elected in the 13th ward. Who selected the apple symbol.
