D e a t h of a Spouse in Juri
A husband and wife were electrocuted while cutting betel nut trees in Juri Upazila of Moulvibazar.
The accident happened on Tuesday (July 4) afternoon in Sagarnal Union of the upazila.
Locals said that the old man Moin Uddin of Dakshin Sagarnal village of the upazila went to cut betel nut trees on Tuesday afternoon. There was an electric wire strung on that tree. Moin Uddin was electrocuted while cutting trees. His wife Esno Bibi (55) was electrocuted while trying to save him.
Inspector (Investigation) of Juri Police Station Humayun Kabir admitted the truth of the incident and said that the body has been handed over to the family after post-mortem.
