Dengue in Sylhet: 6,500 detected
The number of dengue patients in Sylhet has exceeded 650. In the last 24 hours, 9 more dengue patients have been detected in Sylhet. With this, the number of infected people stood at 666. According to the Sylhet divisional office of the Department of Health, from Monday (August 14) to Tuesday (July 15), 9 more dengue patients have been detected in the Sylhet division. Out of 9 newly infected people, 6 are admitted in various hospitals in Sylhet, 2 in Habiganj and 1 in Moulvibazar.
According to Sylhet Divisional Office of Health Directorate, 150 patients affected by Aedes mosquito bites are admitted in various hospitals of the division. Out of which 37 people are admitted in different hospitals in Sylhet, 3 people are admitted in Sunamganj, 106 people are admitted in Habiganj, 4 people are admitted in different hospitals in Moulvibazar.
In the last 24 hours, 20 dengue patients have recovered and returned home. With this, a total of 516 dengue patients in the department recovered and returned home.
According to the information provided by the Sylhet Divisional Health Directorate office, 666 people have been infected with dengue disease in Sylhet Division from January to August 15 this year. Out of which 606 people have been infected in the last two months. While the number of infected people in July is 382 and the number of infected people is 220 on the 15th day of this month.
