4.6 magnitude earthquake jolts Sylhet
A mild earthquake was felt in Sylhet and its surrounding areas. Its magnitude was 4.6 on the Richter scale.
This earthquake was felt today Tuesday (August 29) at 1:13 PM.
According to the website, the earthquake originated in the Indian state of Meghalaya. The place is located 18 km north of Jaintapur Upazila of Sylhet. However, no damage was reported in the earthquake.
Earlier, on August 14, an earthquake of magnitude 5.5 was felt across the country including Sylhet.
