5 gambler arrested in Moulvibazar
Moulvibazar District Intelligence Branch (DB) has arrested 5 gamblers with gambling equipment from the gambling hall in a special operation.
On the basis of confidential information, a team of DB Police along with SI Azizur Rahman Naim conducted a raid on Bhai Bhai Varieties store owned by one Tajud Mia at Khalishpur Bazar of No. 03 Kamalpur Union under Moulvibazar Sadar Police Station at 12:30 on Friday (April 7).
Meanwhile Tajud Mia (28), Afzal Hossain (33), Kajal Mia (45), Md Faisal Ahmed (42) and Delwar Hossain (53) were arrested.
1 set of Gafla Guti (28) used in gambling and cash of Tk 1520 were seized from them. A case under the Gambling Act has been registered against the arrested persons in Moulvibazar Sadar Police Station.
