Throwing stones at running trains in Sylhet, director injured
Abdul Latif, the guard (conductor) of inter-city Jayantika Express train bound for Sylhet from Dhaka was injured by stone pelting by miscreants in Sylhet's Moglabazar railway station area.
The incident happened on Tuesday (April 18) around 7:30 pm. Abdul Latif himself confirmed the matter.
Injured Abdul Latif is a resident of Uchlapara area under Kulaura Municipality of Moulvibazar. He is working as Train Director of Bangladesh Railway Headquarters.
It is known that when the inter-city Jayantika Express train from Dhaka to Sylhet reached the Moglabazar railway station area near Sylhet at around 7:30 pm, miscreants pelted stones from outside. At that time, Abdul Latif was seriously injured when the stone thrown by the miscreant hit his head because he was sitting next to the window. Later, after the train reached Sylhet railway station, his colleagues rescued him and admitted him to Osmani Medical College Hospital. He is currently undergoing treatment at Sylhet's Parkview Hospital with primary treatment from there.
