3 siblings k i l l e d in Sunamganj boat sinking
Three brothers and sisters died in a boat sinking in Sunamganj. This incident took place in Gobindpur village of Sadar upazila around 2 pm today (Sunday). The deceased are Farzana (13) and Marzana (8) and son Robin (4), daughters of Sohail Mia of Majhi Bari in the village, her family confirmed the death.
Locals said that the three children were crossing the nearby water body in a dinghy boat from home in the afternoon. Meanwhile, the boat sank under the influence of rain and three brothers and sisters went missing. Locals searched and recovered one's body. Later, Sunamganj Fire Service's diving team went and recovered the bodies of the remaining two people.
This incident has cast a shadow of mourning in the area. After receiving the news, the police were sent to the scene, said the OC of Sunamganj Sadar Model Police Station. Ikhtiyar Uddin Chowdhury.
