The new DC of Sylhet Sheikh Russell Hasan

This time, the government has appointed new deputy commissioners in 10 more districts including Sylhet. Three days ago, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of 10 districts of the country, including Dhaka, was reshuffled.

In a notification of the Ministry of Public Administration on Sunday, Deputy Secretary of Electricity Department Sheikh Russel Hasan was appointed as Sylhet District Administrator.

Earlier on March 12, the government reshuffled the post of DC in 8 districts. Then on June 6, DCs of 10 districts were reshuffled. DCs of 10 more districts were reshuffled in just a span of 3 days.

This time new Deputy Commissioners have been appointed in Barguna, Jessore, Habiganj, Bagerhat, Barisal, Bhola, Netrakona, Patuakhali, Sylhet and Kushtia districts.

In the notification, the Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration Moha. Rafiqul Islam to Barguna, Private Secretary to State Minister for Shipping Mohammad Abraul Hashan Majumder to Jessore, Economic Relations Department Deputy Secretary Devi Chandra to Habiganj, Additional Refugee and Relief Repatriation Commissioner-2 Mohammad Khalid Hossain to Bagerhat, Narayanganj City Corporation Chief Executive Officer Shahidul Islam to Barisal and Deputy Secretary under transfer order in Public Security Department. Muhammad Nizam Uddin Ahmed has been made the Deputy Commissioner of Bhola.

In the same notification, Local Government Department Deputy Secretary Shahed Parvez has been posted as Netrakona, Law Minister's Private Secretary Noor Qutubul Alam as Patuakhali, Electricity Department Deputy Secretary Sheikh Russell Hasan as Sylhet and Prime Minister's Office Director Ehtesham Reza as Deputy Commissioner of Kushtia.
