UAE offers visa on arrival for citizens of 82 countries
Citizens of 82 countries can travel to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) without a visa. That is, citizens of 82 countries of the world can enter the United Arab Emirates without obtaining a visa in advance.
India is among these countries with visa-free entry. Khaleej Times reported this information in a report on Monday (August 28).
According to the report, citizens of 82 countries will have the opportunity to travel to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the Middle East without a visa. Citizens of these countries will receive one of two possible visas upon entry to the emirate. These are – either they get a 30-day entry visa that can be extended for 10 days, or they get a 90-day visa.
In addition, people wishing to enter the UAE from member countries of the regional group Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) can use their passports or their identity cards. They will not need a visa or sponsor to enter the Emirates.
According to Khaleej Times, Indian citizens holding ordinary passports will initially get a 14-day entry visa upon arrival in the UAE and can apply for an extension of their visa for another 14 days if necessary.
However, for Indian citizens, the passport must have a validity of at least 6 months from the date of arrival and the traveler must have a visit visa or permanent residence card issued by the US, UK or any European Union (EU) country.
Emirati authorities say tourists who do not qualify for visa-free entry or visa-on-arrival will need an entry permit to enter the Middle Eastern country, which will be issued by the UAE through its sponsor before entering the country.
According to the latest information on the ministry's official website, citizens of 115 countries require visas to enter the UAE.
