Egypt will give 5-year multiple visa
The government of Egypt has announced to provide travel visas for five years to increase tourists. The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities of the country has taken such a decision to achieve economic goals.
In a press conference, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Ahmed Issa said that Egypt will provide multiple travel visas for five years for $700. The North African country recently announced multi-year travel visas to boost tourism revenue for the first time.
Besides, the list of 30 days on-arrival in Egypt has increased to 180 countries including Bangladesh. A short-term (for 30 days) on-arrival visa is available for a $25 fee. Two more countries 'China and India' have been added to this list. Citizens of these two countries will get this opportunity from now on.
Earlier in April last year, Egypt, the country of Nile and Pyramids, introduced a conditional one-year on-arrival visa for Bangladeshi ordinary passport holders.
The office of the Assistant Foreign Minister for Asian Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Egypt told the embassy that the validity of this visa will remain in force until further instructions are given as a result of the application of the Bangladesh Embassy before the expiry of this agreement.
Recently, in an official circular issued by the Asian Affairs Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Egypt, the Bangladesh Embassy in Cairo was informed that the agreement on on-arrival visa will remain in force subject to the conditions made last year until further notice. This information has been confirmed in the circular given to the Bangladesh Embassy by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country. In April 2022, the country provided this facility to Bangladeshi nationals conditionally for one year.
Bangladesh Embassy sent a request letter to the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to renew the agreement for another two years before the expiry of the period. The condition to get the benefit of on-arrival visa is that ordinary passport holders must have a valid and used visa or residence permit of at least six months in the passport of Japan, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, United States, United Kingdom and European countries including Schengen.

The Bangladeshi ambassador to Egypt requested the interested Bangladeshis to carry the country's official circular with a copy of the translation while traveling to Egypt. Monirul Islam.
